Dr. Bonnor's path to becoming one of Houston's most distinguished surgeons was shaped by an insight he formed during his training in minimally invasive and bariatric surgery. Dr. Bonnor could perform complex procedures through small cosmetic incisions making laparoscopic surgery the cosmetics of general surgery. It demanded precision, skill and artistry to achieve outcomes that once required open operations. That insight became the philosophical thread that connects his origins in laparoscopic surgery to his artistry in cosmetic surgery.
After guiding patients through bariatric surgery and watching them achieve life changing weight loss, Dr Bonnor saw a gap. The internal changes from weight loss are profound but it also leaves behind external changes. Completing a fellowship in cosmetic surgery was the natural extension of his commitment to completing the transformation inside and out.
He is a native of Houston and has been serving his community for over 20 years with a reputation for surgical excellence and compassionate care.
